Aloha! The beautiful shores of Hawaii are once again my background as I write my first blog entry of 2012. The breath taking scenery and the sound of waves crashing below my hotel balcony is certainly a great way to start the New Year. As most of you know, I didn't post but ONE entry after "Mr. Anonymous" sent me his thoughts and feelings (and in all honesty, I am glad he did!). After my last entry in August, I continued to write on a weekly basis but ultimately decided to keep them to myself. The entries covered the remainder of the 2011 season and included the FedEx Cup Playoffs. My decision to not post my entries were because I needed to re-evaluate the purpose and direction of my blog and decide if it was something worth continuing. After wavering back and forth, I decided to continue posting my weekly adventures on the PGA Tour. My decision was for two reasons….First, my children would continue to have a chronological diary of our lives on Tour and secondly, I could honestly care less about one man's opinion. I enjoy my blog and I hope you do as well.
So with that in mind, I have big plans for the 2012 season as well as some changes that I hope you will enjoy. Some of these "changes" will not take place for several weeks while a few have already made their presence known. Hyatt Hotel, Tempus Jet and Arctic Ease are three new Corporate logos that I will proudly display this year on my clothes and bag. They will join TaylorMade, Adidas, Titleist, VWR and Cuscowilla as the brands I endorse. Some of the future "changes" include a new web site, an improved blog, and a few items that will hopefully create more interaction between myself and the loyal followers of this blog. My ultimate goal is to create an atmosphere where you feel more "inside the ropes" and a part of my adventures. I am patiently waiting several projects to complete and you should gradually notice some changes over the next few weeks. I encourage you use the email I set up last year on this site (email@example.com) to speak openly...I welcome any comments or suggestions that you may have.
I am very excited about the direction that my golf career is heading. I recently set new goals and standards for my upcoming season and I cannot wait to improve on my 2011 campaign. My wonderful family will once again travel during the year and I cannot wait for our adventures to begin! Thank you for the continued support that each of you have shown me during my career. I could never thank you enough. May God bless each of you and I hope my blog will bring you some happiness and laughter throughout the year. I look forward to opening up a little more this year so hopefully you can truly experience my life inside the ropes.
